Me and my monkey!

Here I have made a baby card with one of the new stamps from Magnolia: Sally the Monkey.

I have girled her up, with pearls in her ears and some blue eyeshadow:)

When I was in Spain some years ago I noticed that all the baby girls had ear rings, and were so beautifully dressed. A lot like Sally here;)

I have mixed her up with Sleeping Baby Tilda from the Cozy Family Autumn Collection 2010.

The swirls around the image are from Stempelglede (Vintage Garden).

The papers I have used are from Maja Design.

There are so many stamps from this collection on my wish list..!

I have got some questions about if there are any of this collection stamps in the Spring Club Kit, and there is not. The Spring Club Kit has some totally new stamps which is not in the preview of the Princes & Princesses Collection.

Tusen takk for en flott helg på Målselvscreppa! Del #2

Her kommer del 2 av Målselvscreppa-kurskort og bilder.

På lørdag laget vi et bokkort, itillegg til å male motivet.

Jeg kommer her til å skrive litt om målene jeg har på papirene mine også, 

siden det er noen som spør om det:)

Motivet er fra Magnolia og papirene fra Maja Design.

Motivet er malt på 300g akvarellpapir, med med Italeri pensel str.000.

Papiret til hele kortet måler 15x25cm, der høyden er 15 cm, og jeg har preget på 11 cm og 14 cm. Det vil si at bakstykket er 3 cm bredt. Panelene måler 14,5x10,5 cm. Og mønsterarkene måler 14x10cm.

Inni bokkortet.

"Boken" er satt sammen av fire pregede ark. Jeg har brukt 200g akvarellpapir.

Kortsiden måler 10,5x20cm, og jeg har preget på hver cm. Altså en cm mellom hver brett.

Langsiden måler 14,5x20cm.

Sommerfuglen er en DooHickey fra Magnolia som heter Swirly Butterfly.

Jeg har blitt invitert til å holde to kurs på Målselvscreppa.

Og nå begynner det å nærme seg, det er bare to dager til før jeg setter kursen avgårde nordover!

Jeg tenkte jeg skulle legge ut en liten sneak peek av kursene mine, slik at de som har meldt seg på får noen tips om hva vi skal gjøre;)

MDUC #110 ~ Flutterbys (use a butterfly)

We are back with a new fun challenge at MDUC! 

This week we want to see BUTTERFLIES!!

As you can see, I have used my DooHickey die from Magnolia called Swirly Butterfly. It is sooo gorgeous! 

I have punched it out two times in two matching colours. Then decorated it with Stickles-Star Dust and Liquid Pearls-White Opal.

As usual I have a lot of photos where you can have a closer look at the details.

I really enjoy making book-cards now after I got my Scor-Pal!

I can't belive I bough one earlier, but I guess I thought that folding papers were not something I wanted to spend money on. But belive me, it is worth it!!:)

Now the foldings are faster to make, and look much better.

 Here is the inside! 

I will fill it up with some candy. 

The girl who is getting this book-card has already told me what her favourites are;)

The text inside is from Stempelglede, and I have embossed it. It says "A hug to You".

I just had it laying around, and thought "Why not use it here!":)

Baby Herman ♥

Here is my card for the new MDUC this week! 

The challenge is to use ribbon and lace, both of them:)

My cousin got a baby boy some time ago, 

and I wanted to make a card for them.

I haven't met Herman yet, but have seen him in some photos. 

And he is the cutest! Looks a lot like my cousin already!

If you remember the wedding invitations I made before Christmas, 

that was for his parents. 

So this summer we will meet him in their wedding in Skagen, Denmark:)

I am sooo looking foreward to it.

And Savannah is coming too♥

The text says Welcome to the world and is from Stempelglede.

The papers and butterflies are from Pion Design.

The baby is ofcourse from Magnolia and is called Baby Tilda.

The image is coloured with Distress Ink, reinkers.

The blue is Weathered Wood.

Once again I have made a Shakercard, I love them. 

And I have got many questions about the glitter I use. 

I think you can use whatever you have, but here is a photo of mine.

I have decorated with the beautiful papers inside aswell.

For the name Herman, I have used Thickers from American Crafts.

I have used a lace and a seem binding ribbon from WOC, bought in Hjerteboden. Behind the image I have some Cheese Cloth, sprayed with Glimmer Mist,and added a touch of Crackle Paint-Picket Fence.

Some news from Magnolia and another baby card:))

I will start with some exciting Magnolia news:

Magnolia are going to have a all new design for the Inspiration blog starting December 1.

They are also working on a new design of the magazine. They have worked alot with creating paper edge illutions and much more; a new and cooler look;) 

Can't wait to see:)))

I got a question from a co-worker to make a baptism card for her. She wanted an easel card, and similar to the other babycards I have made resently:)

Now I see that all the photos are closeups, but I hope you can see the card anyway. I gave it away today, so to late to take some more pics..

This is sweet Tilda from Magnolia, but on a boy card. He is coloured with Distress Ink, reinkers. I have also added Distress Ink, Walnut Stain to all the paper edges, and a little on the flowers.

The text is from Stempelglede. All the papers are from Magnolia too. I have added Stickles-Star Dust to the image, and Stickles-Platinum to the flowers and some of the paperedges. 

The tag is a DooHickey from Magnolia. I have also used a Martha Stewart punch-Doily Lace. The letters are Thickers from American Crafts.

I have added liquid pearls-White opal to the scallops.

You can see the card from one side under. You may see the small criss-cross card that I have attached to the lowest part of the easel card...

Kurs i Distress hos Hobbykroken

Da har jeg kommet hjem igjen og vel så det fra en flott lørdag hos Hobbykroken! Jeg har jo aldri holdt "ordentlig" kurs før, og var ganske nervøs. Men det var ikke skummelt i det hele tatt:) Damene som kom var så utrolig hyggelige. Jeg viser noen bilder ifra kurset lengre nede, men først litt mer om kurskortet.

Vi fargela Brother & Sister fra Magnolia. Og da selvsagt med Distress Ink, reinkers. Her er fagene vi brukte:
